An intimate venue
Built in 1914 as the civic heart of the town of Houston Heights, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Today the building is restored top to bottom: tall windows, original brick, carriage doors and pressed-tin ceilings, with a modern kitchen, a bridal room and a lift to the second floor. It sits four miles from downtown, between Downtown and the Galleria, and it is cared for by the Houston Heights Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The spaces
Many couples use both floors: vows on one, dinner on the other, then back for cake and dancing.

Second floor
A bright hall of tall windows under the restored tin ceiling. Room for a full seated dinner, a ceremony, or both, with a dressing room just off the floor.

First floor
Dark wood floors, the historic jail cell and vintage carriage doors. It works for a cocktail hour, a band, or a ceremony of its own, with a large prep kitchen for licensed caterers.

Outside
An outdoor patio and a large sidewalk for arrivals, cocktail tables or a breath of fresh air.

1800 Heights Blvd
A shaded park on Heights Boulevard with the Kaiser Pavilion at its center, modeled on the turret of the 1890s Cooley mansion. Popular for outdoor ceremonies, engagements, birthdays, musical events and celebrations of life.
Weddings & events
A small slice of Texas history
After the Heights' Fraternal Hall burned in 1912, city leaders built one building to do three jobs: city hall, fire station and jail.
City hall, fire station and jail open on 12th Street.
Houston annexes the Heights; the building becomes Station No. 14.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Station No. 14 is decommissioned; the Houston Heights Association takes on its preservation.
Brick, stucco and the carriage doors restored.
New kitchen, baths, bridal room and lift, and the tin ceiling restored.

“The venue turned out beautiful and I loved how I could do my ceremony down stairs then reception upstairs.”Laura B. · The Knot · July 2019
“If you’re up for this, the end result is SO worth it. It is really a beautiful place.”Aubrey N. · The Knot · June 2023
